Chris Palmer - harmonica

New to both Winnipeg and Mercy Mercy, Chris Palmer brings a wealth of performing and recording experience with him. He was raised in England, where he was in demand for gigs and sessions with many well-known artists, including George Harrison, Joe Cocker, David Bowie and the Strawbs, as well as the artist roster of Apple and Dark Horse records. Moving to Canada in 1978, he became a mainstay of the Ottawa music scene, working with artists like David Wiffen, Donny Campbell, Dale Wright, The Dirt Poor Boys, Sticks'n'Stones and Dave Muir. On Vancouver Island from 2000 to this summer, he performed with Kenny Shaw and Dave Gallant. Chris has also been a respected harmonica instructor and club owner/talent buyer. As well as performing with Mercy Mercy, Chris is available for performing, recording and instructing opportunities in a wide variety of musical genres.
